In 1999 we began as a traditional chocolate shoppe that highlights Anne of Green Gables inspired handmade chocolates.
The original store and factory was in Avonlea, an idyllic village created in Cavendish, PEI based on the book Anne of Green Gables. We launched with sweets like fudge, chocolate caramels, and chocolate creams all inspired by recipes from 1908, the period the book was published.
